Frequently asked questions.

How far into the postpartum window are you willing to see a client?

If you are still breastfeeding or your baby is still not sleeping through the night, my daytime & overnight services can benefit you. I am happy to hold ceremony for any mother wanting to process her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience- no matter how long ago it was.

What does typical overnight look like?

8:00 PM – Each evening begins with a quick check-in to see how your day has gone and where things stand. We’ll then chat about your baby’s sleep, feeding patterns, digestion, and anything else on your mind. Together, we’ll come up with a plan for the night, including a list of priorities and expected feeding times. I’ll prepare a calming herbal tea for you, grab the baby monitor, and encourage you to get some well-deserved rest.

While your baby sleeps, I’ll quietly take care of household tasks like refilling diaper supplies, folding baby laundry, and tidying up in the kitchen.

When it’s time to feed, I can either give your baby a bottle of expressed milk or bring them to you for nursing—whichever you prefer. Afterward, you can head right back to sleep while I handle burping, diaper changes, swaddling, and helping baby settle back down.

Once your baby is asleep again, I’ll rest nearby on the couch or in the guest room until they need me.

If you’re pumping during the night, just send me a quick text when the bottles and pump parts are ready outside your door. I’ll collect, label, and store the milk properly in the fridge, then clean and prep the pump for your next session.

In the morning, I’ll have a nourishing breakfast and your drink of choice ready for you. At 6:00 AM, I’ll either hand off the monitor or place your baby in their bassinet by your side. Before I head out, I’ll send you a text summary of the night’s events—feeding times, wake windows, diaper changes, and more. I’ll head out the door and look forward to our next visit!
